Anyone who missed this trip missed out on all the fun! October is breast cancer awareness month and we are pleased to announce that all of the profits from this trip will be donated to The Susan G. Komen foundation for the cure. Being our membership is made up of only women it is a fitting and worthy cause that we women voted on.

Saturday, October 3, 2009 was the date of our trip. The bus picked us up at 8:00 a.m from the Viewmont Mall parking lot. It was a beautiful day and you could just feel the anticipation in the air as everyone started to arrive. There was donations of breakfast, lunch and dinner to look forward to and OH my, all the raffle items! One guest even donated a basket of wine! Thank-you Debbie Mecca! The bus was quickly boarded and off we were! The trip was one we'll not soon forget along with all of the new friends we made. The wineries we visited were located along the eastern shore of Lake Seneca. OH the wines we tasted! To name a few of our stops, Wagner Vineyards and Caywood Winery. The scenery was spectacular! As the bus drove we drank up the mountains and the colored leaves as one savors their best wine.

We laughed and laughed some more. We were having so much fun that the bus driver even wanted to join us. He wanted to participate in the raffle, of course we let him. Wouldn't you know it... He won a jewelry box, earrings, necklace and bracelet worth $250.00! Congrats to his wife, I bet she was happy when he got home! All the meals were wonderful and so many of us won prizes.

Our trip ended back at the mall around 7:45 p.m. with all of us a little tired. Our bellies were full and our thirsts for wine quenched. Thanks to all who donated and made this trip an enjoyable and profitable one for this so very very important cause.
